Fresh tasting food, great service even on a night when the place was packed, the staff checked with us often for drink refills and always made sure we had chips and salsa. We will definitely be going back.

Service was great even though restrictions were in place due to covid, ordered off lunch menu order came within a few minutes ( tacos), food tasted great and was cheap

Very authentic Mexican food. Delicious, with a vegetarian menu. You get to choose your seats, so no being forced into a booth when you want chairs. Once seated, you'll get tortilla chips and either mild or spicy salsa. Waiter was attentive and quick with refills. Portions are generous.

I’ve never had a meal been so bad that I regretted paying for it but today was that day. Just moved to the area and googled best Mexican near me and found myself beyond disappointed. Save your money and time, a frozen burrito is better than anything you can order from here. Everything taste previously frozen and covered in queso, in no way is this food edible or authentic.

Great Mexican food and service

It is a small restaurant so they seemed busy, but only a total of 12 tables with people at them, two servers. The table next to us came in a few minutes after us, got their food at the same time they took out order. Server brought our food, and took him five minutes to bring a bottle of hot sauce, after we asked twice. They couldn't handle half the restaurant being full, it was quite a shame. Servers did not check back in us to see if food was okay, which it was, or offer desert or refills. We had to go to the counter just to get our check. Food was good. Service was absolutely poor.

The food is always great and plentiful!! The wait staff are very attentive to your needs. You must try the steak fagitas!!!

What a wonderful little gem. This small restaurant is in the middle of nowhere yet worth coming to. The staff were very friendly. My wife has strict eating issues, including no flour, no meat and no dairy. They accommodated her needs easily and brought a delicious meal. The portion sizes were great and the prices were fantastic. You can't go wrong coming here!

Such amazing food! Everything our table order, everyone loved. Anything you order there you will love. It was exactly what I pictured and tasted better than imaginable. I gave four stars because the waitstaff was slow and we sat for a while before anyone asked for our drink order. Which is a huge deal when eating at any restaurant. On a busy night it would be understandable but there was just a few tables that had people at them.

I haven't found anything like this up North! The food is exceptional and the prices are great! The Staff are all very nice and accommodating. You don't feel rushed through your meal, even though their limited hours of 5-9 would make you think you would be rushed.I go there every time I come to Florida.

Probably one of the best family owned Mexican restaurant in the area. Dunnellon doesn't have very many good places to eat, unless you like fast food, but if you like food that is made with love, then should go there. Keep in mind when coming here, Don Pepe is a small place, so you may want to go here early.

I have not been to this place in years and it has not changed one bit. This place is a whole in the wall out of the way type of place. We came during the boomtown festival and this place was packed but we were seated quickly. I ordered a combination burrito, enchiladas, and taco. My boyfriend had gotten the enchiladas dish. My food was awesome. It’s one of the few times I eat everything on my plate and not get bored half way through. The food always comes out fast and hot (temperature wise). The pricing here is extremely fair as well we get a lot of food and two drinks for usually less then twenty dollars. If you’re in the area this is a must.

Even with being very busy and having to wait, we were seated pretty quickly. The selections were almost overwhelming and I had difficulty choosing because everything looked and sounded great. Guess we'll have to keep going back and trying new things. Our meals were delicious and there was so much that it'll also be dinner this evening. I've read many great reviews about this place and have wanted to try it. Happy we did!We will be back :)

The food was so tasty and the plates will fill you up!

Staff was not very friendly. We asked for fresh jalapenos and they said they did not have any in the ones they had they were for their salsa and special people. We asked for water never made it over. It almost seemed like there was tension between the staff members or something like that. The food was not bad but not great.
